Serendipity
Painted in 2012, Serendipity was actually painted for an event that President George W. Bush was attending in North Texas. I was asked to paint the large piece by a designer as a back drop. I never asked for photos and to this day have no idea if the painting was even used. The designer quietly returned the painting to my then McKinney studio. Regardless, it was selected as a reproduction by Neiman Marcus shortly after.
The original painting is hand-stretched on 2”, custom milled stretcher bars. The canvas has a sense of movement, layered in soft metallics giving the original a pearl-like effect.
